How do I install the Jupiter Masterpiece Water ioniser ?

Jupiter Water Ionisers come with an adapter that attaches to your sink tap.

But, please note that in the UK these tap diverters do not usually fit owing to the diversity of taps within the UK.

This will allow you to still use your sink as you always do and divert the water into the Water Ioniser when you want to.

It also comes with a 2.9 length of tubing that should be cut into two pieces.

The first piece of the hose plugs into the faucet diverter or onto the separate faucet pipe and then into the INLET fitting at the back and bottom of the Water Ioniser on the left as you look at the front of the unit, with a spring clip0 provided.

The second piece of hose fits into the OUTLET fitting on the right as you look at the unit from the front, with a spring clip provided, at the back and at the bottom of the Water Ioniser and then drapes into the sink.

This is the tube that acid water will run out of.

Water Ionisers always produce both alkaline and acid water simultaneously.

The ratio is 70% Alkaline water to 30% Acid water that is produced by the Water Ioniser as it is running.

The unit is best situated on top of the work surface, a window ledge close by or can be wall mounted.

Will I need a plumber ?

No, this can be done by the average person who has little or no plumbing experience.

If your not sure after reading below then a plumber may be necessary.

How long will it take to install ?

Usually about 10 minutes for a straight forward setting / fitting with the diverter or onto an existing water faucet.

If you are fitting a separate water faucet (UK), then it will take around 3/4 of an hour.

Will I need additional parts in order to install my Jupiter Water Ioniser ?

About 10% of all faucets do not have the standard screw thread that will fit the faucet diverter that comes with the Jupiter Water Ionisers.

If you find the Jupiter faucet diverter will not fit your sink tap, note what kind of faucet you have and take the Jupiter faucet adapter to a plumbing store and they may have the necessary parts you will need.

Alternatively purchase an under work top filtration unit these can be purchased at different prices they are usually in the range of about £35-00.

If you can drill 3 holes and fix 2 screws and clamp a bracket onto your cold water pipe then you should be able to fit this kit yourself, if your not sure then ask a plumber to do it for you.

Is the Ionised Water better than my existing filtered water ?

Yes it is because of its anti-oxidant properties and alkaline hydration capabilities that no other system other than an Ioniser has capabilities of producing.

Can I fit the Masterpiece onto my existing water faucet system ?

Yes, you can by taking off the plastic end cap off the end of your water faucet, you can then push the “white” inlet pipe onto the end of the faucet pipe.

This is an ideal situation as it protects your Masterpiece investment and also extends the life of the unit by keeping large particulate well away from the unit itself.

A large number of households have an existing water faucet / filtration system.

The Masterpiece should not be connected to a reverse osmosis or distiller systems, as they take out the minerals within the water, that the Masterpiece and all ionisers work with to make acid and alkaline water.

I haven't got an existing water filtration system and the tap diverter does not fit my tap what can I do - what is the easiest way of connecting / fitting to my water supply ?

The easiest way is to fit a water faucet onto your cold water supply.

This can be done in a variety of ways depending on what you want to spend.

Two option’s are self fit systems, which would include another filter in line for large particulate and so protect your investment in the Masterpiece, these come complete with a water faucet and all fittings for connection to the mains cold water supply.

The diagram opposite shows how the faucet is installed.

These pre-fit systems fit under the worktop / surface area.

Most DIY / Handymen can fit these with very little trouble

under 1 hour.

Put simply, drill a 3/8inch hole in worktop, two holes for filter clamp / housing, put a clamp on mains water, attach push on pipe fittings / pipes,  screw in plunger to pierce mains water supply pipe, finished.

If you cannot or don’t want to do a self-fit system then a plumber or handyman would be able to connect to the mains without too much trouble.

Can I use the 'WHITE WATER PIPE' to connect to the mains water supply ?

No, the “WHITE PIPE” is NOT meant to connect directly to the mains water supply.

You will need a tap of some form in-between the mains water supply and the Ioniser.

The “WHITE” pipe supplied with the unit will need to be cut approximately in half but individual circumstances should be assessed before cutting the pipe.

The INLET should be connected on the NON pressure side 'outlet' of a faucet / tap to the back of the unit and the spring clamp supplied should be used to retain it there.

The OUTLET pipe should be retained from the back of the Masterpiece Ioniser unit with the spring clamp supplied and the taken into the sink / drain.

The Ioniser should be connected on the non pressure side of a water faucet/tap.

This means that you have to turn the tap on for the ioniser to work, as a micro switch detects the pressure and switches the ioniser unit on electrically to Ionise the water.

If you connect directly to the water supply the ioniser will be on permanently and you will not be able to turn it off, unless you turn your mains water supply off.

Is it really necessary to fit or use a faucet or tap ?

Yes, a faucet / tap is needed to:

1) To "switch" the Masterpiece Ioniser unit On and OFF by means of the water supply.

2) To take the constant in-line mains water supply pressure, so avoiding any “leakage” onto your work surface areas.

No responsibility is accepted by Sunrise Water for fixing the Masterpiece Ioniser Unit direct to the mains water supply without an in line faucet or tap.

Can I fit the Masterpiece Ioniser under my sink worktop ?

No, because the drain for the unit relies on gravity feed, so this will mean that you will have to have bowl or some other utensil to 'catch' the drain pipe water from the unit.

Sooner or later you will forget about this and water will be leaking in your under sink cupboards, but by the time you probably notice it, it will be on your kitchen floor !
