How do I reset the Green light once it has reached its maximum and I have fitted a new filter ?
Is there any way that the music can be turned off on the Jupiter Masterpiece Water ioniser ?
The pH colour indicator liquid drops are not terribly accurate they are more of a guideline as to which pH level is being shown. You should also be testing on level 4 or 5 for pH indications, use about 3 drops in each test tube. Slow down the flow of the water, so that the Alkaline and Acid Water will become stronger because the water has more contact time with the titanium / platinum electrodes. The colour test indicator will produce a purple result, meaning the water is indeed quite Alkaline. Another test you can use to determine if your Jupiter Water Ioniser is working properly is to take a clear glass and fill it with alkaline water that is flowing slowly through the unit. You will see very small bubbles in the water. This is the antioxidant that will revert to oxygen and give you lots of Energy.
Open panel on the left side of the Masterpiece unit by pressing in on the “thumb” serration and pull the casing forward towards you.
Take the filter out and make sure that there is no seal over the end / bottom of the filter. This is a common mistake when fitting a new filter.
When re-placing the filter make sure the filter is properly seated by turning it clockwise.
First make sure that water is running from your supply to the unit, especially if you have fitted a pre-filtration unit, this is a very common problem, that the water supply is not turned on or turned on fully, so the unit will not work. This may seem a bit ridiculous, but it our most common mistake / problem.
Finally the only other reason why water would not come out of the unit is unless something such as packaging material is blocking one of the tubes.
First check the fuse in at the back of the Jupiter Water Ioniser. That is most likely the problem since Jupiter Water Ionisers are extremely reliable and have less than a 1% failure rate. The fuse is a standard 2 amp fuse obtainable at any electronics store or hardware store. There is also a spare fuse with the unit as standard. Other reasons may be very low water pressure, so it is unable to activate the water switch within the unit.
This is what is called "fine" coming off the carbon in the filter it is normal and it will clear up within the first few seconds of use.
The main purpose of the carbon filter is to remove chlorine, which means the filter is designed to be used with the municipal water supply.
How often the filter should be changed depends on how much chlorine there is in your water supply and of course how often you use it. If there is a lot of chlorine in the water, the filter should be changed once a year. If there is not as much the filter cartridge should be changed every 2 years. Contact your water authority to get this information. Anything over .5 ppm (parts per million), of chlorine is considered above average. The carbon filter will also remove other unwanted elements found in drinking water such as VOCs (benzene, trihalomethanes, etc).
Finally if you live in a very hard water area the filter may need changing more regular.

Open the filter panel on the left hand side of the unit and push the red button in the upper right hand corner behind the filter. The green filter light will reset.
The Jupiter Water Ioniser either beeps or plays music when it is in cleaning mode, which means the electrodes have reversed polarity and acid water is coming out the chrome tube which would normally be Alkaline and the alkaline water is coming on the tube that runs into the sink which is normally Acidic.
When you hear this you know that your unit is doing exactly what it was designed to do, self cleaning by 'back-flushing' itself.
This happens when you initially turn the Jupiter Water Ioniser on by running water through it and after long periods of continuous use. Self-cleaning dramatically extends the life use of the electrodes.
Never drink the water from the Jupiter Water Ioniser when it’s in cleaning mode.
Is there any way that the music can be turned off on the Jupiter Masterpiece Water ioniser ?
No, there is not. The music plays as a safety precaution warning you not to drink the water while the unit is cleaning because Acid water should never be consumed. (It is alright to brush your teeth or gargle with, but not to drink) However, you may manually override the cleaning process by pushing the pH button on the unit. This will cancel the cleaning mode and immediately return the unit to regular Ionisation mode. We do not recommend doing this as its primary function is safety.
